Sensory Room
A sensory room is a calming, low-stimulation environment designed to support self-regulation and stress reduction. While these spaces are particularly beneficial for individuals who are neurodivergent, they can be helpful for any learner experiencing stress, sensory overload, or anxiety. This room is open to all students as a supportive wellness resource and a place to reset during their time at the MSAC. The room is located in the basement of the Medical Student & Alumni Centre (2750 Heather St), next to the music room.
The Sensory Room includes:
• Weighted blanket and weighted lap pads
• Beanbag chair and floor-level seating
• A fidget-toy basket with a range of tactile options
• Breathwork cards, grounding exercises, and colouring books
• Soft, adjustable lighting, bubble tanks, and calming visual art

Please see below for photos and a video of where to find the room.
